Note: To update the MaXXlink add-in, the current version requires that a reinstallation be done. This means an uninstallation of the old version. Please see 'Uninstallation Instructions' if this is the case. Updates do not require any adjustments to be made to the web interface.
- To install MaXXlink, please make sure that Solidworks/Autodesk Inventor is closed first. Download and then proceed to run 'MaXXLink_SolidWorks_Addin' and when prompted with a dialogue saying 'Windows protected your PC', select 'More info' then 'Run anyway'. A cmdlet will appear and once MaXXlink has installed, this will disappear and Solidworks/ADI can be run.
It will now need to be enabled as a Solidworks/ADI add-in. To do this, first go to options in the toolbar then select add-ins.
- Upon doing so, MaXXlink should be available at the bottom of the add-ins selections where it can then be enabled.
MaXXlink should now be useable and can be toggled as either a tab under the 'MaXXlink Web' or as a toolbar under 'MaXXlink Settings' and 'MaXXlink Web'.
